Thoughts

Our thoughts are with the Jaffe family today as we think of Julian on his anniversary. We remember his twinkling eyes and smiling face. So sorely missed.

Still remember Julian climbing out of the window during class and going home. I was in school with him so lots of memories

Spent the last 3 weeks teaching 4 lads how to be a sniper, very intriguing/interesting. Similaritys to systema pop up more and more. I guess its all martial arts really. Its been really interesting to watch 4 lads change/grow in ability and skill. Having to deal with crazy head shed(my boss of sorts) and nkt losing my rag with him. Every time i think about training or teaching it aIways brings me back to you. I miss being able to show you more of what im doing now and just talking about what im doing now. Hope you found the answers to the questions you always had. There's always a point in the day, week, month where you turn up in my thoughts, always the listener, advisor, joker. Guildfords class is not the same without you. Dare i say it, no one really goes now that you dont. Philosphising without you on the ins and outs of martial arts just isnt the same. Dont think i would of got as good as i did with out you. Alwasy questioned always serched and never settled for 1 way. Your boys are amazing, so much like you and so much more, you set them up for success and their childrens success. I will miss driving to yours on a saturday and making sure im.not parked on the single yellow at the wrong time. Ringing the bell and waiting for you to open the door in your crocks. Heading down stairs for a coffee saying hi to suzi and the boys if they were in and then off to explore/investigate/train. Sometimes we would go and drink/eat and dream impossible dreams, only for you to start to make them reality What an odd couple we were, the Solider and the OAP🙈 From me to you, thankyou. You became one of my closest friends and everyday i teach systema and show them what i can do you will be there with me. As i sit here writing this and thinking of you and your amazing family i hope your relaxing and doing what you do best. MIKEY
